This Toy is a magnificent piece of mid-century Japanese toy history: a Vintage 1950s TN Nomura Friction Tin Litho Fire Engine. This toy is in spectacular, unplayed-with New in Box (NIB) condition. The tin lithograph on the fire engine is bright, glossy, and pristine with immaculate details.

Mechanical Condition: 

• Friction Motor: Tested and works smoothly and strongly.

• Bell Ringer: The automatic bell mechanism functions perfectly with a crisp, clear vintage sound.

• Box Condition (Good/Fair Vintage State): The original illustrated box is included and features excellent graphics, though it shows some standard signs of age and shelf wear: One corner of the box lid is split with a slight gap. There are two small tears: one at the top corner/end flap area, and a second near the middle of the top cover that cuts through the bottom of the graphics and extends cleanly down the side panel.

• Historical Provenance: Features a fascinating original, period-correct pencil inventory notation from a 1950s distributor or shopkeeper reading: "#8225 $18.00 Dozen".

• A true piece of retail history! Please review all high-resolution photographs carefully to evaluate the exact cosmetic condition of both the fire engine and the original box. It will be professionally packed and shipped securely to protect its investment value.

This item will be wrapped in bubble wrap if possible, if not tissue paper will be used.  Determined by fit of the toy in original box, placed safely inside its original box, and then double-boxed inside a heavy-duty outer shipping carton surrounded by packing peanuts.  This will eliminate any risk of crushing or transit wear. Fully tracked and insured delivery.
