Vintage 1950s Marusan Tin Mechanical Dog House New in Box / Japan Clockwork! Works!

Stunning Vintage 1950s Marusan Tin Mechanical Dog House Toy — New in Box (NIB)!

For Sale is a remarkably well-preserved piece of post-war Japanese tinplate history: the Marusan Mechanical Dog House. Finding this toy completely unused and matching its original illustrated box is an incredible rarity for mid-century toy enthusiasts.

✨ Toy Condition & Performance:

• Pristine New in Box (NIB) Status: This toy has never been actively played with. The tin lithography is exceptionally bright, vibrant, and retains its original glossy sheen.

• Zero Play-Wear: No rust, no fading, and no scratches typical of used tin toys from this era.

• Fully Functional: The internal clockwork mechanical mechanism works beautifully. When wound, the dog actively pops out through the front door and playfully nods his head just as intended.

📦 Original Box Details:

• Premium Multi-Color Graphics: Features the scarce, vibrant, full-color illustrated export artwork intended for high-end department stores.

• Honest Age-Related Note: The box is entirely structurally intact with no cardboard tears or missing flaps. Due to 70+ years of natural aging, the original factory glue on one top corner fold is separating slightly, and the bottom flap lifts a bit. No modern tape or adhesive repairs have been attempted, preserving its completely original, unaltered state for collectors. (Please see detailed close-up photos).
